Description:

Long covid, the name commonly used to explainlasting effects of covid-19, may actually be fourdifferent syndromes, according to a review by theNational Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
A team of researchers and doctors reviewed currentevidence and interviewed post-hospitalised andnon-hospitalised patients and reported that longcovid did not seem to fit as one syndrome. Theysuggested that people experiencing long term effectsof covid-19 may have different syndromes such aspost-intensive care syndrome, post-viral fatiguesyndrome, and long term covid syndrome
